Realtor: I have to give out three lenders to all my clients.
Me: Are you open to a better way?
Realtor: Well, what do you mean am I open to a better way? I thought I was required by the law to give out three names.
Me: Well, I've heard that too, but it's not entirely accurate. There's nowhere, uh, no, no place that I have found where it's written that you're required to give out three names. Most brokers do it as a CYA. They're trying to make sure they don't give out somebody's name to a client and the client has a horrible experience.
Instead of giving you and two other agents their information because I think not the best way to do it.
I'll let you know what I do when I refer you, Mr. Realtor.
Mr. Buyer if I were looking to buy I would use Mr. Realtor in purchasing my house. He's one of the best in the business. He'll save you time, money, energy, and effort. I'm telling you absolutely that he would be the person I would use if I were buying a house in that area.
And then if for some reason it's not a good fit let me know and I'll give you the name of somebody else uh that I would recommend sometimes times personalities may conflict but I'm telling you if I were buying that's absolutely who I would use.
Giving out three names creates confusion and confused buyers don’t buy.
